Fundamental Technologies Ulysses HISCALE Pages

*** Format for HISCALE and EPAM PHA Event and Rate Files ***

These files contain the event coordinate, energies, and rates as extracted from the original ALAyyddd.PHA or MULAyyddd.PHA files. A full explaination of the PHA parameters can be found in the Ulysses Data Analysis Handbook located at http://hiscale.ftecs.com/uly-handbk-oview.html.

The file nomenclature is as follows:

pha_(events/rates)_(hiscale/epam)_yyyy_ddd.csv

For example, the file pha_events_epam_2003_325.csv contains the event parameters for day 325 of the year 2003 for the EPAM instrument.

Each file contains two header records before the data records. The first header contains information regarding the type of data and which instrument was used to collect the data. The second header record contains the column headings. These column headings are also comma-separated so that they'll import smoothly into any standard spreadsheet program.
